The Procurement and Contracts
Department (PCD) is the central purchasing and
contract authority for American University. PCD
is a department under the auspices of the Treasurer's
Office and within the Controllers Office along
with Accounts Payable and Accounting. PCD is responsible
for managing the procurement and contract processes
on a University-wide basis, including purchasing
orders, contracts, and any other legal agreements
associated with the acquisition of goods and services
that support AU's educational, research and business
initiatives.
