Welcome to Grounds and Vehicle Maintenance Operations at American University!

Together, we make up one unit of Facilities Management under the Facility Administration Services umbrella.

Under the supervision of assistant director Mark Feist, we are responsible for maintaining the grounds areas on campus including snow removal and servicing all vehicles including shuttle busses and campus vans. We also maintain inventory and move furniture on campus when needed. Another important aspect of our unit is to promote and regulate recycling on campus.

We are very proud of the variety of trees and plants that live with all students, staff and faculty here in our nation’s capitol, and hope you enjoy their aesthetic value, too.
